Bart Yasso, RW's CHief Running Officer, on Mr. Goodyear's Neighborhood

First off I want to congratulate the brave souls who ran the 2016 Ogden Marathon this past weekend.  I've survived wind and rain storms at 14,000 feet in the San Juan mountains before, and those tough weather days had nothing on the storm that rocked Ogden on Saturday.  Ogden runners are crazy tough!  Krisitn volunteered with the bus loading at the bright hour of 3:30am, and even with the rain already falling and the wind beginning to pick up, the GOAL volunteers filled every single bus on its way to Ogden Valley...everybody still showed up!  

I made the statement in this interview with Bart, and I'll say it here now:  The GOAL Foundation and its Ogden Marathon race director, Jenny Scothern, are the only organization who could pull off hosting 9,000 runners in a severe wind and rain storm. The weather was unfortunate, but GOAL and its army of volunteers stuck to their plan and delivered a world class community event.  Thank you and congratulations!
